Microfusión Solsona's beginnings
The business has its origin in 1940 in a small jewellery workshop in Lleida. Pedro Solsona was familiar with the production techniques used in jewelling and, through his contacts with companies in Italy, he decided to find out about the then new serial production technique. He then happened on the lost-wax process and realised it was better suited to his trade, so he decided to incorporate the process into his workshop. He imported the necessary machinery, moved the company to Barcelona and in mid 1995 Microfusión Solsona was born. He abandoned jewellery crafting and focused on offering foundry services to other companies in the same sector. Since then, all the years of working and striving to update and incorporate the latest know-how have earned us a reputation as a serious company that values quality. This has allowed us to make contact with companies from other sectors that require this type of technology.
